Alison Pill

Pill started her career as a performer in Canada however it was just a couple of years later she made her first appearance in the American film market. The most notable of these appearances was an episode from the Canadian show Traders in which she starred Bruce Gray. Pill got a role in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation with Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, Michael Ensign, Michael G. Hagerty, Naren Shankar and "Would, Could, Shoulda". Pill's work on Picard was then followed by an important supporting role as "Katie" In Devs. This show, produced by FX Productions on Hulu and served by the digital VFX firm Double Negative, featured her for all of the episodes. The similarities between these show and its predecessor did not end in the first episode. They revealed that the main theme of Devs revolves around the preservation a conscious in an artificial creator, much like what Data was doing in the Picard season one finale "Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2." Ava DuVernay was born on August 24 1972 at Long Beach California. DuVernay was inspired to follow her passion of art by DuVernay's aunt Denise at the age of a small girl. The aunt was on in the evening shifts as a nursing assistant so she could indulge her passion of theater and literature during the day.
